Polyurethane stone (PU STONE) is a man-made imitation stone. Polyurethane faux stone was created to provide a realistic-looking stone panel that is also very simple to install. Polyurethane is poured into molds cast from real piled stone to create these imitation stone panels. Polyurethane (PU) is a composite material composed of: (1) one or more layers of polymer resins linked together by urethane linkages; and (2) a woven or non-woven textile backing such as polyester, cotton, nylon, or ground leather.
